And the latest is that the landmark movie may be directed by Gautham Menon. It is also heard that Dayanidhi Alagiri will be producing the film under his home banner Cloud Nine Movies.

Gautham Menon's upcoming release in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. It is heard the the director will start Ajith's film after the release of the same. Meanwhile Ajith's next is Aasal (also spelt as Asal) under the Sivaji Productions banner, directed by Saran/ Sameera and Bhavana play the leading ladies in the film.
